CFESA Online Training

Restaurant Equipment Technician Training and Job Placement for Veterans

Vet2Tech was started in September, 2012. The program is approved through the GI Bill’s LACAS program. (Licensing and Certification Approval System). Carol Multak, President and CEO, developed a database of 817 hiring companies nationwide. During that time, she was actively raising funds to award scholarships. After all the pieces were in place, she felt that the program was robust enough to bring veterans in and successfully place them in sustainable wage jobs.

Every graduate is guaranteed a job interview with one of the hiring companies. Additionally, they will have access to that database and may use that list to search for additional job opportunities available to them and have that list as a resource if they ever relocate.

The average starting salary for entry-level technicians is about $15-$17 per hour during OJT (usually about 1 yr.). After OJT is complete salaries jump to about $22-$25 per hour. Companies usually offer competitive benefit packages, company service vehicles, laptops and cell phones.

Vet2Tech has partnered with Tech U24/7 and CFESA to provide training and placement opportunities for veterans at no cost to the veteran.
