At TAD PGS, Inc., partnership is our mantra whether it's the clients we serve or the professionals we place. As such, we're also a partner in the communities we serve through diversity, charitable giving and volunteerism.
We participate in a number of job fairs that fit these corporate responsibility initiatives including veterans and military spouses. Be sure to visit our Career Fairs section.
We're connected to the communities we serve. We believe in supporting the organizations and charities that serve the residents of the communities where we do business.
Some of the charities we support include:
Ray Tanner Foundation Home Run http://raytannerhomerun.org/
Junior Achievement of Central South Carolina http://www.jacsc.org/
Rebuild Together Anne Arundel County Maryland http://www.rebuildingtogetheraac.org/
Operation Welcome Home, an event for Vietnam War veterans and other returning veterans.
In addition, we support the many charities of our parent company, Adecco Group, through volunteerism, sponsorships and charitable giving. These charities include:
Win4Youth - In 2010, Adecco colleagues from around the world joined together locally and in global teams to complete a total of over 142,000 miles (which is more than five times around the world) for six selected foundations. In 2011, more than 20,500 colleagues and clients in 63 countries took to their bikes and clocked a grand total of 972,773 miles for three selected foundations. This year, we join together again, this time by bringing together the two sports we already know well, running and cycling, and adding one more: swimming. Our combined efforts will support four foundations based out of China, Morocco, New Zealand and Belgium, as well as local charities in the United States. North America will be divided up into 5 teams which represent the 5 Olympic rings. The teams will compete against each other to accumulate the most miles. At the end of the year, the winning team will get to choose the recipient of the overall North American donation. All the foundations Adecco Group selects have a clear focus on educating and finally integrating young people into the labor market. Disaster response - Hurricane Katrina, 2005 - Adecco USA played a critical role in helping workers displaced by Hurricane Katrina to find new positions.
We're in the business of serving people so we find it only fitting that our employees serve our communities through volunteerism.
At TAD PGS, Inc., our competitive advantage is our ability to develop creative solutions to meet our clients' workforce needs; meeting diversity needs is often part of that solution. Diversity plays a critical role in the formation of our talent pool as we align ourselves with groups and organizations to recruit the best and brightest professionals from all walks of life and continue to enrich their lives through training and opportunities.
In addition, we support and participate in Adecco Group's diversity program Dimensions, which encompasses four key components including diversity education, diversity recruitment, supplier diversity and community outreach.
Disabled veterans returning to the civilian workforce often face many tough challenges. Yet these individuals often employ the unique knowledge and skills that are in great demand among our government and military clients. Fostering these skills and providing additional training to disabled veterans is a key focus at TAD PGS, Inc. We've formed alliances with a number of initiatives to help disabled vets obtain a challenging, fulfilling career. These partnerships include Disability Mentoring Day and the JP Morgan Chase initiative to hire 100,000 veterans in the next 10 years.
Returning veterans possess many of the characteristics today's employers' desire - leadership, discipline and teamwork. Veterans returning to civilian life are some of our top candidates, possessing unique skill sets and a strong work ethic. At TAD PGS, Inc., we provide additional career support and training to help returning veterans succeed including career counseling, resume enhancement, interview training and online skills training.
Our Career Connections program supports these often unsung heroes, military spouses. As part of the Adecco Group, we assisted in placing over 20,000 military spouses in temporary and direct hire positions. By the nature of the role they play at home, military spouses are flexible and adaptable and eager to take on new challenges. Military spouses play a critical support role in their home life yet deployments and transfers often interfere with their own career goals. At TAD PGS, Inc., we feel it's our role to support military spouses in their career goals and help them achieve professional success. Because of our national reach, we're uniquely structured to help military spouses find employment across the U.S. with flexible opportunities to fit their lifestyle.
